Common App’s (Common Application) community comprises 800 members in 49 states and across 20 countries working to connect first-generation and low-income students with resources to research financial aid, complete college applications, and locate scholarship opportunities. Reach Higher is a 2014 initiative by former First Lady Michelle Obama to encourage students to pursue higher education. Following a 2019 acquisition by Common App, Reach Higher helped the platform earn over $6.6 million in grant funding. Reach Higher reached students for critical conversations partnering with Hustle’s peer-to-peer texting platform.
