Fellow Hustlers,
I’m excited to announce that the tool you’ve come to rely upon for your critical work is now owned by the employees of Hustle.
Though our team’s commitment to the work of our customers never wavered, we understand the conflicts that can arise when a company’s investors do not share the values of the teams they employ or the customers they serve.
With this change, the culmination of a years-long effort to align more closely with customers, we have ensured customers and employees at Hustle are the ones charting the course – building a new future to engage communities and a better model for how businesses are run.
Reading the news and observing recent events, it’s been a demoralizing time to be an employee; executive teams are less responsive to employee feedback, job responsibilities are changing rapidly, and there are fewer employees to handle all of the work! This trend does not appear to be improving broadly speaking, which is why I’m so proud that Hustle has once again bucked the trend. At Hustle, we are doubling down on our employees, customers, and authentic human connections at a time when many (most?) companies are moving rapidly and frantically in the opposite direction. I hope this change inspires other companies, especially those in non-profit and civic tech, to rethink their approach to serving their customers and teams.
I want to personally thank all the partners who had a hand in building towards this moment. This is a big deal for Hustlers everywhere, and I’m incredibly grateful to you for being a member of the fam. If we haven’t chatted in a while, I welcome the chance to reconnect with our team.
Never stop Hustling!
-Jesse Hassinger, CEO, Hustle
